What is toner?
Toner is dustlike substance used in laser printers and copiers to form texts and images on printer paper. It consists of microscopic polymeric fractions with magnetic characteristics as a result of its static charge.
How should I preserve my toner cartridges when out of the printer?
Original equipment manufacturers are usually in carton boxes. Toner Stream's streamed consumables are packed in water proof plastic bags. Do not expose either one (OEM or streamed one) to high temperature, moisture or light. Keep the toner cartridge in its package until its installation in the printer.
What does “recharging a toner cartridge” mean?
"Recharging a toner cartridge" includes cleaning its components, greasing the contacts of the cartridge and charging it with toner.
What does “recycling a toner cartridge” mean?
"Recycling a toner cartridge" includes replacing all of its components (OPC drum, blades, developer roller, magnetic roller, bushes, chip, etc.), greasing the contacts of the cartridge and charging it with toner.
What does “streaming a toner cartridge” mean?
- testing the cartridge to diagnose its actual technical condition;
- cleaning its components;
- replacing the worn out components with new ones;
- greasing the contacts of the cartridge;
- charging the toner cartridge with toner.

Some toner cartridges have a seal which prevents the toner from spilling when the cartridge is being transported and/or stored. It should be removed before your toner cartridge is installed in your printing device. Make sure you have done that.

The probable causes for this problem are in the printing device mainly – damaged paper separator, worn-out rollers in the fuser, paper in the machine from a previous paper jam, etc. For this reason, a service technician should diagnose your printing device and repair it, if needed. Another possible cause of paper jams is the usage of unsuitable paper – moist, too thin, too thick cardstock, etc. Please, consider the manufacturer recommendations for type of media you should use in your printer.
